Pune: Yerawada Police Detained Eve-Teaser for Molesting Minor Girl in Metro
Pune: The Yerawada police have arrested an individual who tried to molest a minor girl by taking her in the metro and by inappropriately touching her.
The arrested accused has been identified as Akhilesh Kumar Akhil (age 40, a resident of Warje Malwadi). In this regard, the mother of the minor girl has filed a police complaint against the accused at Yerawada police station.
As per the police information, the minor girl was going to her friend’s house by foot to bring a textbook from her. At that time, she went to Yerawada metro station on the saying of an unknown girl. The accused Akhilesh Kumar was waiting there.
Police informed that, one month ago, the accused had forcibly taken the minor girl and her friend from Yerawada Metro Station to Pune Railway Metro Station by metro. During this travel, the accused molested the minor girl by touching her inappropriately.
In the latest incident also, he again tried to force her into the metro. But this time, after the girl’s resistance, people standing nearby caught the accused and handed him over to the police. Assistant Police Inspector Khedkar is conducting further investigation in this case.
