Pune: Youngman Ends His Life Following Wife’s Extra-Marital Affair and Threats; Police Book Wife and Her Boyfriend

Pune: An individual committed suicide by hanging after being frustrated by his wife’s extramarital affair and threat given by her boyfriend. This incident took place on April 6, 2024, in the Lonikand area.

The deceased individual has been identified as Sopan Dhondiram Kendre (age 33, a resident of Vitthalwadi, Lonikand, an original native of Nanded). In this regard, the mother of the deceased individual, Rambhabai Dhondiram Kendre (age 65, a resident of Chaitanya Nagar, Nanded), has lodged a complaint.

Accordingly, police registered a case against Sopan Kendre’s wife, Bhagyashree, and her boyfriend, Madhukar Ambaji Kendre (age 35, a resident of Ambulaga, Sellali, Taluka Kandhar, District Nanded).
According to the police information, the plaintiff’s son Sopan and Bhagyashree married in 2016. However, soon after the marriage, Bhagyashree had an extramarital affair with Madhukar Kendre. Sopan was aware of his wife’s affair.

According to the complaint, Sopan was constantly asking his wife to break her relationship with Madhukar Kendre. However, she was not ready for it. Because of this, there were constant arguments between them. Meanwhile, Madhukar Kendre threatened Sopan to leave her wife; otherwise, he would kill him. Because of this constant harassment, Sopan committed suicide by hanging in the house.

Assistant Police Inspector Ghorpade is conducting further investigation into the incident.
