Pune: Youth Brutally Murdered with a Machete on Sinhgad Road; Shocking Incident at 2:30 PM
A shocking murder took place on Monday afternoon near Sinhgad Road, Pune, when 3 to 4 assailants attacked a young man with a machete and then killed him by smashing a stone on him in the parking area of a residential building near Sinhgad College Road.
The deceased has been identified as Taufir Rafiq Shaikh (22, resident of Makka Masjid area, Kondhwa), a resident of Dhankawadi. The exact motive behind the murder is still unknown. Sinhgad Road Police reached the spot immediately and have begun investigation.
According to preliminary reports, Taukir was sitting in the parking area of the Krishnakunj building at Minakshipuram when the attackers arrived. They assaulted him with a machete, leaving him in a pool of blood, and then struck him with a stone before fleeing the scene. Police are probing the case further.
