Race for Madha Assembly Ticket Intensifies: Local Aspirants Rally for NCP (SP) Ticket Against Baban Shinde’s Son

After the NCP (SP) party secured a decisive victory from Madha Lok Sabha constituency in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, the aspirants are lining up to seek Madha assembly candidacy from the party. The sitting MLA from Madha, Baban Shinde, who is currently in the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s NCP, has withdrawn from the election this year and has put his son Ranjit Shinde forward and is trying to get his son a candidature from Sharad Pawar’s NCP.
On the other hand, there has been a huge crowd of other aspirants to contest on Sharad Pawar’s NCP ticket from Madha. However, in order to keep Baban Shinde away from the NCP (SP) ticket, four aspirants from Madha met Sharad Pawar in Mumbai today and took a stand to nominate any of them for the assembly but keep away those who have done treason with the party.
For this demand, Abhijit Patil, along with Sanjay Kokate, Nitin Kapse, and Sanjay Ghatnekar Patil, met Sharad Pawar today to seek nomination from the NCP (SP) party from Madha Constituency. “After we all aspirants met Sharad Pawar, he has assured us that he will not give candidature to Ranjit Shinde,” said the aspirants while talking to the reporters.
Meanwhile, Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil, the cousin of Madha MP Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil, is also said to be interested in contesting the assembly elections from Madha. After being asked about this, Abhijit Patil said, “We are constantly discussing with Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil about it. However, no one from his family has so far expressed their desire to contest the Assembly election yet.”
But BJP’s MLC Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil had yesterday gone to Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan in Mumbai to meet Sharad Pawar. But after seeing the media camera there, Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil, who was sitting in the car wearing a mask and trying to avoid the media’s attention, asked the driver to take the car out of there and left. Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil is willing to contest from the Madha assembly constituency. It is understood that he had gone to meet Sharad Pawar yesterday to discuss about his candidacy.
