School Administration Demands Monthly Cut from Teachers’ Salaries for Government Grant; Police Lodged Complaint

Pune: A shocking incident has come to light from the Late Ambarchandji Munot Shikshan Sanstha, Katraj, where the administration of the school has demanded Rs 5 thousand rupees and 10 percent of the salary of the teachers to the institution every month till retirement in return for sending the file to the education department for government grant.

In this regard, a 35-year-old female teacher lodged a complaint at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. Accordingly, police registered a complaint against Ashoklal Ambarchand Munot, Nikhil Ashoklal Munot, Ulka Shashikant Navgire, Surekha Mahadev Sutar, and Harshada Ashoklal Munot. This incident spanned from March 8, 2023, until today.

Among the accused, Ashok Lal Munot, Nikhil Munot, and Surekha Sutar were booked by police under the Atrocity Act earlier this year. As per the police information, the accused called the plaintiff and her accompanying teachers and non-teaching staff and demanded that if they want to send the government subsidy file to the education department, they will have to pay Rs. 5 thousand and 10 percent of their salary to the institution every month till their retirement.

After that, the accused again and again received money from the plaintiff and other staff of the institution. When teachers refused to pay 10 percent of their salary to the institution, the accused threatened them with being removed from the job and harassed them mentally and physically. In this regard, assistant police inspector Shende is conducting further investigation.
