Seat-sharing talks in Maha Yuti to begin soon

Mumbai: The state BJP held its core committee meeting under the chairmanship of BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and decided to contest 150 seats in the State Assembly elections. However, seat-sharing talks have still not been held among the Maha Yuti partners.
DyCm Devendra Fadnavis, senior party leaders Bhupendra Yadav and Vinod Tawde were present in the core committee meeting. A strategy for the impending polls and seat-sharing talks was discussed. Later, BJP leader Ashish Shelar addressed a press conference.
Shelar gave details about the discussions in the core committee meeting. He said, “A district conference of the party will be held in the State. A dialogue will be held with party workers in view of the State Assembly elections. Schemes will be launched at the village-level through workers in the 288 segments and mandal units. The programme will be organised within the next 15 days.
“Seat-sharing talks need to be started now. We have fixed a formula for the purpose. Ticket distribution will start soon. Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar will chalk out the future course of action for the polls.”
The Maha Yuti received a big setback in the Lok Sabha elections. The Maha Vikas Aghadi bagged 31 out of 48 seats while the Maha Yuti could get 17 seats. Therefore, the State Assembly election planning has started now within the Maha Yuti.
