Sharad Pawar entrusts Harshvardhan Patil with vital organisational responsibility
Mumbai: Former BJP leader and State Minister Harshvardhan Patil who recently joined the NCP (SP) has been entrusted with an important organisational responsibility.
Patil has been appointed on the Parliamentary Board of the NCP (SP). The party issued a letter in this regard to Patil on Friday (October 18).
The letter stated: “It is a pleasure to announce that you have been appointed on the Parliamentary Board of the NCP (SP) with the consent of State President Jayant Patil. A meeting of the Parliamentary Board will be held at 5 pm on Saturday (October 19) at the Rashtravadi Bhavan, Mumbai. You have been asked to attend the meeting.”
Thus, Patil who was not seen frequently in the public life after his entry into the BJP will now be more active at the state level politics.
Bickering in NCP (SP) in Indapur
Following Sharad Pawar’s announcement of giving the candidature to Harshvardhan Patil from Indapur. Dejected NCP (SP) leader Appasaheb Jagdale held a get-together of the third front in Indapur. He alleged that he was denied the party ticket for three consecutive terms by making emotional appeals by Dattatraya Bharne and Harshvardhan Patil. Jagdale said that they took advantage of his simple nature.
On the other hand, Pravin Mane initially campaigned for Supriya Sule during the Lok Sabha elections. Later, he joined the rival camp and supported Sunetra Pawar. It is said that Sharad Pawar did not like this and denied him the party candidature.
