Sharad Pawar plans strategy for six NCP (AP) MLAs in Nashik district
Mumbai: The Lok Sabha results have boosted the confidence of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which is planning strategies for the upcoming State Assembly elections. NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar is reaching out to voters through farmers’ get-togethers.
Following a rebellion in the NCP, Ajit Pawar joined the Maha Yuti, along with some MLAs. This led to discussion about Sharad Pawar and his political future. However, his party won 8 out of 10 seats on a new symbol in the Lok Sabha elections. Now, many aspirants want to contest the State polls on the trumpeter symbol.
Sharad Pawar has made a robust plan to make a dent into the Ajit Pawar camp. On Monday (September 23), the NCP (SP)’s Shiv Swarajya Yatra is arriving in Nashik. It will camp for three days there.
Important NCP (SP) leaders such as Jayant Patil, Jitendra Awhad, Amol Kolhe and others will participate in the Yatra. There are six MLAs in Nashik district, who preferred to cross over to the Maha Yuti, led by Ajit Pawar.
They include Deolali MLA Saroj Ahire, Yeola MLA and Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Dindori MLA Narhari Zirwal, Kalwan MLA Nitin Pawar, Niphad MLA Dilip Bankar and Sinnar MLA Manikrao Kokate.
The NCP (SP) has geared up to teach a lesson to these MLAs. A big public rally will be held in Nashik as a part of the Shiv Swarajya Yatra.
A public meeting will also be held in Yeola belonging to Ajit Pawar’s trusted lieutenant Minister Chhagan Bhujbal. As per details, the Yatra will arrive in Satana, Deolali and Nashik on Monday, where a big rally will be held by NCP leaders.
The Shiv Swarajya Yatra will visit other assembly constituencies in Nashik on Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents of Nashik will witness a political tussle for the next three days.
