Pune:

Since the announcement of the assembly election in the state, the Baramati assembly constituency has been in the limelight. Today, even on the day of the voting, Baramati is once again in the news. However, this time, Sharmila Pawar, the mother of Yugendra Pawar, has accused bogus voting and intimidation by the opposition party in Baramati. However, Ajit Pawar has refuted all these allegations.

What happened exactly?

Today, Sharmila Pawar visited the polling booths in the constituency. At that time, she alleged that one person was asking other people to gather and asking people about voting. “When we objected to it, a few people intimidated us and threatened our party activist, Mausin,” said Sharmila Pawar. She said that they had registered a complaint in this regard with local police.

What did Ajit Pawar say?

On the one hand, where Sharmila Pawar was making such serious allegations, the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar denied all these allegations and said that, on the contrary, their party activists were being threatened. Ajit Pawar said, “Sharmila Pawar’s allegations are completely false. There are CCTV cameras at every polling booth. We have held so many elections, but our workers have never committed such acts. Our ideology is that of Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar. We will never do this.”

He further said that the tradition of giving slips to voters by candidates and party activists has been there from the beginning, and there is nothing wrong with it. “If a complaint has been filed, the Election Commission and the police will investigate,” said Pawar.

At this time, Ajit Pawar also appealed to voters to come out of the house in large numbers and to vote. “It is past 1 p.m., but the percentage of votes is low. I am appealing to as many voters as possible to vote,” added Ajit Pawar.

Supriya Sule’s comment

Meanwhile, the Baramati MP Supriya Sule has also given her one-line comment on this. She said, “I have heard this news. I will enquire into the matter and inform you.”

In Baramati, the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been facing the challenge of his own nephew, Yugendra Pawar. During the election campaigning, Baramati constituency was always in the news. Now, with such serious allegations, it would be interesting to see whether it would impact the remaining voting of Baramati.
