Shocking Murder of Pune Businessmen in Hadapsar; Face Mutilated, Stabbed With Sharp Weapon

On the midnight of September 1, an incident of heinous murder has taken place in Hadapsar, where a businessman who had gone for his after-meal walk was stabbed in the face with a sharp weapon and his face was mutilated. This incident took place between 10.30 p.m. on Sunday and 2 a.m. on Monday in front of the footpath on Utkarsh Nagar society.

The murdered businessman has been identified as Vasudev Ramchandra Kulkarni (age 47, a resident of Utkarsh Nagar, Hadapsar). In this case, his brother, Vinayak Ramchandra Kulkarni (age 51, a resident of Utkarsh Nagar society, Hadapsar), has lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station.

As per the police information, the deceased individual was running a home loan agency called Easy 1 Financial Services. His office is at Bagunika Apartment near Omkareshwar Temple in Shaniwar Peth. Being Sunday, Vasudev Kulkarni was at home the entire day. After the dinner, Vasudev went for the post-dinner walk as per his habit.

However, around 2 p.m., his wife, Vaishali, received the message on her phone that Vasudev was lying unconscious on the footpath of Utkarsh Nagar society. Concerned with the message, she immediately went there to look her husband. Meanwhile, police also come there. They saw that someone had mutilated Vasudev’s face badly. When Vasudev was taken to the Sassoon Hospital for treatment, he was declared dead by the doctors.

So far, the reason behind Vasudev’s murder has not come to the fore. The Senior Police Inspector, Santosh Pandhare, is conducting further investigation into the case.
