State accumulating debts, showering people with ‘Jumlas’ eying polls: Supriya Sule
Mumbai: The State Legislature session is currently underway, where the State Government has made big announcements, including the Ladki Banin scheme. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule has criticised the scheme.
She said, “The State Assembly elections are approaching and the State Government is showering the people with ‘Jumlas’ (fake promises).” She also said that the graft allegations against NCP (AP) President Ajit Pawar were levelled by top BJP leaders. So, the BJP should reply to them.
What did Sule say?
Supriya Sule said, “The government should think about the current economic condition. The State government is merely accumulating debts and it is showering the people with ‘Jumlas’ with an eye on the elections. They are misusing government machinery and distributing money to come to power. The government should help the poor. How much debt will it accumulate? Look at the bullet train project. Nobody had demanded the train. We must think about these things. I am not surprised by provisions made in the State Budget.”
Centre’s import-export policy on milk, sugar, onion
She said, “I, along with the Dindori MP and Beed MP Bajarang Sonwane, met Union Minister Piyush Goyal. We sought to know the exact policy of the Centre about the milk, sugar and onion export and import. However, a government’s decision is not made for one day. It has a far-reaching impact. The rural India has rejected this NDA government.”
Graft allegations against Ajit Pawar
Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar shared a post on his X handle. He has shared a video explaining various provisions made in the State Budget. Pawar has also commented on the graft allegations against him. Sule has reacted to this.
She said, “The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) cannot reply to the corruption allegations against Ajit Pawar. The Maha Yuti should explain the allegations. They should reply to the issue.”
