Swargate ST Stand Rape Case: Vasant More Took Press Conference; Reveals Phone Call Details with Victim

Amidst the various claims and counterclaims by both parties in the Swargate ST stand rape case, the Shiv Sena (UBT) state organiser, Vasant More, took a press conference today in Pune in which he gave information about what conversation took place between him and the victim girl on a phone call after the incident.
Vasant More informed that on the next day of the actual incident, the victim girl called him and narrated the entire incident. “The girl and her friend called me on the next day of Mahashivratri and told the entire incident. She was crying while speaking with me on a phone call.” More also said that before the girl’s call to him, Advocate Asim Sarode had called him and assured him of all the help in this case.
More Questioned Accused’s Wife’s Statements
More said, “I already told that day that the accused was himself indigent and he was sleeping at ST stand. How can he afford to give 7500 rupees to the girl?” More said that all the things that were said in this case have proven false. At this time, More also questioned the accused’s wife’s statements. He questioned how the accused’s wife could make the exact same claims as were made by political leaders and the accused’s lawyers.
More also described the emotional pain the victim has been suffering due to this incident. More said that every time the police have been asking her, she has been explaining the entire incident again and again to them. This is taking a big toll on the victim’s mental health. More said that, on the contrary to punishing the accused, the accused has been enjoying all the facilities, and the victim is getting treated like the accused.
What Did More Say on Claims of 7500 Rupees?
On the allegations of the accused had given Rs 7500 from the accused, More questioned that if the accused had given money to the victim, then why did police not mention the same thing in their statement? More said, “The girl’s bag was inside the police station for 48 hours. Then why did the police not mention the demand of money from the girl in their statement?”
At this time, More demanded strict action against all the accused involved in this case. He informed that he had spoken to his party chief, Uddhav Thackeray, regarding the case and had also spoken with Asim Sarode regarding it.
