Pimpri : Yesterday, Pune and the Pimpri Chinchwad city experienced a heavy downpour. As a result of it, the turbidity level of water in the river and water sources in Pimpri Chinchwad city has increased significantly. Therefore, the PCMC administration has taken the decision to provide a delay and slow water supply in the city on July 26.

The Chief Engineer of PCMC, Shrikant Savane, announced a decision in this regard today. On the backdrop of substantial rainfall in Pimpri Chinchwad, the administration activated all the pumping stations in the city. However, increased load has caused a technical failure at the Ravet pumping house. Consequently, the administration announced that the water supply in Pimpri-Chinchwad would be delayed with reduced pressure and quantity on July 26.

However, the administration is working continuously on the early repair of the pumping house and to streamline the halted water supply in the city. However, because of this stoppage of water, people are experiencing a water shortage today.

Meanwhile, with the increased rainfall, the chances of waterborne diseases are high. Therefore, the administration has urged people to drink water after proper purification and after boiling. The administration is taking proper care of supplying pure and clean water to people.
