Thief Attacks Beat Marshal During Night Patrol in Pune, Six Booked
Pune: A shocking incident of a group attack on a beat marshal police while conducting patrolling has come to light from Pune. The incident took place on October 21 around 2.30 a.m. near Abhinav English Medium School on Law College Road. In this regard, a case has been registered against six people in the Deccan police station.
As per the police information, the Beat Marshals Mahesh Tambe and Ganesh Jadhav were patrolling near the Abhinav English Medium School on Law College Road yesterday. At that time, they saw six suspected individuals entering the Bungalow compound. The police suspect that they had come to steal sandalwood.
Accordingly, when beat marshals attempted to detain the accused, the accused started fleeing the scene, attacking one of the beat marshals with a handsaw. After that, the beat marshal opened fire on the gang in self-defence. However, till then, the accused fled the scene.
The attacked beat marshal has been injured and receiving treatment at the hospital. Meanwhile, Deccan police are searching for the accused.
