Three Bangladeshis held from Talegaon MIDC

Pimpri: Three Bangladeshis staying illegally in India were arrested from the MIDC area in Talegaon. This action was taken at Navlakh Umbre on Monday (December 30).

The arrested Bangladeshis were identified as Hussain Shaikh (31), Monirul Ghazi (26) and Amirul Sana (34). A person preparing fake documents for them was also booked. Policeman Roshan Pagare lodged a complaint at the Talegaon MIDC Police Station.

According to the police, the accused are Bangladeshi nationals. They were staying in India without legal documents. They pretended to be Indians by preparing fake Aadhar, PAN cards. They were arrested after the Pimpri-Chinchwad Anti-Terrorist Squad got a tip-off. The Talegaon MIDC Police were investigating the matter.

The incident has brought the Bangladeshi intruders’ issue on the anvil. Such police actions have revealed their presence in the city. It is seen that Bangladeshi nationals stay in the industrial belt. In the past two years, action was taken against 37 Bangladeshis and four persons from two Rohingya families hailing from Myanmar. As many as 62 Bangladeshis were issued passports on local addresses, which were later cancelled. The police said that they launched a drive to search for Bangladeshis.
