Two Thieves Stabbed Rickshaw Passenger with Machete for Refusing to Give 500 Rs; Yerawada Police Arrested Both

In a shocking incident, two thieves stabbed a rickshaw passenger with a machete after he refused to give 500 rupees to them. In this regard, Bundgarden Police have acted swiftly and arrested both the accused within 24 hours.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Gaurav Bharat Dhokade and Akash Balu Kamble. In this regard, Atmaram Dharma Aade (age 42, a resident of Ashok Nagar, Yerawada) lodged a police complaint at Bundgarden Police Station. This entire incident took place at 12:30 a.m. on Monday at the rickshaw stand near Alankar Theatre.
Police informed that on Monday night, Aade was waiting for an auto-rickshaw to go to his home. At that time, two thieves approached him on their bike and demanded 500 rupees from him. Shockingly, they also threatened to kill him if he did not listen to their demand. When the plaintiff refused to give them the money, the accused took out the hidden machete from their shirt and stabbed at the plaintiff’s stomach.
The accused further attempted to kill him by injuring the plaintiff’s left hand’s thumb. In this regard, the Bundgarden police have lodged a police complaint against both the accused for an attempted murder.
On Monday night, Police Sub-Inspector Swapnil Lohar, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Pradeep Shitole, Police Constable Saras Salvi, and Police Amaldar Mahesh Jadhav were patrolling. At that time, they received a tip-off from their informant that the accused, who had attacked the passenger with a machete, were standing at IB Chowk. After verifying this news, the police visited the spot and took both the accused into custody. After initial interrogation, it was found that they had carried out the attack.
The team comprising Police Sub-Inspector Swapnil Lohar, Police Sub-Inspector Mohan Kale, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Pradeep Shitole, Police Constable Saras Salvi, Police Amaldar Dnyana Bade, Shivaji Sarak, Manoj Bhokare, and Mahesh Jadhav has carried out this operation under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil, Assistant Police Commissioner Deepak Nikam, Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Gaikwad, and Crime Inspector Sampatrao Raut.
