Vadgaon Maval Court Sentenced Three Years of Hard Labour and Rs 20 Thousand Fine to Accused of Molestation of Girl

Pune : For allegedly misbehaving and molesting a girl, the Sessions Judge of Vadgaon Maval Court, J.L. Gandhi, sentenced the accused to hard labour for three years and a fine of Rs 20,000. The accused has been identified as Dileep Babanrao Ghodekar (age 50 and a resident of Maval).

Ghodekar faced three years of imprisonment in the molestation of a girl case. Ghodekar was accused of molesting and misbehaving with a girl who was returning after taking the milk from the shop. In this case, a complaint was registered against Dileep Ghodekar at Shirgaon Parandwadi Police Station.

In this case, Additional Public Prosecutor Smita Chaugule appeared for the government in court. Taking into account the testimony and the evidence, the court sentenced Ghodekar to three years of hard labour punishment and a fine of Rs 20,000. The court ordered that Rs 15,000 should be paid to the victim girl out of the fine amount.

The investigation was conducted by S. S. Gadilkar under the guidance of the then Assistant Police Commissioner of Dehu Road Division, Devidas Gheware, and the Senior Police Inspector of Talegaon Dabhade Police Station, Digambar Suryawanshi. Court police constable Nitin Pawar assisted in court proceedings.
