Verbal exchange between agitating MPSC aspirants and police in Pune
Pune: MPSC candidates agitating for their demand to postpone the state services preliminary exam have become aggressive. A verbal exchange took place between them and the police on Thursday. A large number of aspirants gathered in Shastri Nagar. Some politicians were also present. Rohit Pawar and Rupali Thombre were supporting the candidates. The agitators criticised the style of functioning of the MPSC.
The agitation has intensified now. The IBPS and MPSC preliminary exam are clashing. They will be held on August 25. The aspirants have demanded postponing of the preliminary exam. They also want inclusion of posts from the Agriculture Department in the preliminary exam.
The MPSC has called a meeting to find a solution. It remains to be seen what decision is made in it. Opposition leaders and some organistions are actively participating in the agitation. NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar has taken note of the agitation. He has warned that he himself will join the agitation if the government fails to consider their demand.
