Young banker from Pune jumps to death from Atal Setu

Mumbai: A young banker from Pune jumped into the sea from Atal Setu and ended his life. The bridge has become a suicide spot now. A woman cab driver was saved by other cab drivers and the police from taking the extreme step on the bridge some days ago.

The police rushed to the spot after learning about the incident. However, banker Alex Regi (35) died by suicide before they could reach the spot.

Alex is a Pimpri resident and was in Mumbai for a company meeting. He also met his Mumbai-based father-in-law. While returning home, he jumped to death.

It is said that he was under work pressure. He has not left any suicide note. A rescue team retrieved his body and handed it over to the family. Alex was a Kotak Mahindra Bank employee and attended a meet at the BKC. His family alleged that his seniors were putting pressure on him. They also demanded a thorough probe into the matter.
