Yugendra Pawar will be pitted against Ajit Pawar in Baramati: Parth Pawar

Pimpri: NCP (AP) leader Parth Pawar has said that NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar has decided to field Yugendra Pawar against NCP (AP) President Ajit Pawar. This will not make any difference. Ajit Pawar will win hands down.

Parth Pawar said this during an informal interaction with the media. He said, “The NCP (AP) will contest from the Pimpri segment. The Chinchwad seat should also be given to our party.”

This indicates that the NCP (AP) has indirectly staked its claim on the Assembly segment of the BJP. He said, “Pimpri-Chinchwad should get a Governor-appointed legislator. The twin towns are a citadel of the NCP (AP). An MLC should be named from here. I have recommended this to Ajit Pawar. I will not occupy any party post. I will focus on expanding the party instead of contesting an election.”
