Pune: With the onset of the monsoon, a large number of people visit places such as dams, waterfalls, etc. However, in this, a large number of people lost their lives after being drowned in it. Yesterday, a similar incident took place at the Chaskaman Dam in Khed Taluka. A member of the fire brigade team drowned in the dam after he could not understand the depth of the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drowned fire brigade personal is named Pratap Sayaji Phanase (age 41, a resident of Nagpur Chawl, Yerawada). Phanse was working in the fire brigade team of Pune Municipal Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, Phanase, along with his few friends, went to the Chaskaman Dam for a holiday. At that time, Phanse entered the dam for swimming but unfortunately drowned as he could not understand the depth of the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing him drown, two of his friends also jumped into the dam to save Phanase; however, they could not save him. With the help of Bibi Gram Panchayat Sub-Sarpanch Deepak Kalekar, Vijay Dore, Ajay Khande, Suraj Dore, Chandrakant Dore, fishermen, and local residents, Phanase’s body was found and taken out of the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to recurring drowning incidents, the district commissioner of Pune ordered a complete ban on visiting the tourist spots in the district. In spite of that, a large number of people visit such places, endangering their lives. The administration has advised caution while visiting dangerous tourist places in the monsoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
