Pune: On the background of presenting himself in the Pune court on Friday in the alleged case of defrauding the director, Maratha Reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil was presented in the Pimpri Chinchwad yesterday night. At that time, while speaking with the media, Jarange levelled serious allegations against the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For holding Fadnavis responsible for the case against him, Jarange Patil accused that, as he was not getting compromise, the Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis purposefully involved him in the case. Jarange said, “As I am not getting trapped somewhere else, Fadnavis tried to trap me in this case.” He further said, “What disgrace in showing the history of Chhatrapati? There was a loss in showing the play to people. So what should we do?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The case of defrauding the play director against me is in court. Therefore, I will not comment on it. However, I have respected the court. I am going to appear today in court,” Jarange added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, “We wanted to present Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s history to the people, and therefore, we decided to produce a play. However, I was in no way connected with the finances of the play. When the play went down, we three friends decided to share the loss. However, one of us said that he and the director are very good friends, and he would pay the director. After that, whether he really paid the director or not, I do not know anything about that,” Jarange clarified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At that time, Jarange Patil also took an overview of the assembly elections in Pune along with his supporters. On the question of whether he would contest the upcoming state assembly elections or not, Jarange said, “We are being pushed into the elections. We are firm on our reservation demand. Other communities also supported us.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further added that the decision on fielding candidates in the assembly elections will be taken after discussion with the community. “The decision regarding it will happen on August 29. At that time, I will talk about whom we will target in the election. But, before that, I would not say anything.
