Pune: The Someshwar Foundation organised the \u2018Karyasmrat Mofat Maha-Arogya Shibir\u2019 to mark the birth anniversary of former MLA the late Vinayak Nimhan at 36 places in three phases during July 22-August 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main camp was held at the Government Agriculture College Grounds, in Sinchan Nagar, Shivajinagar on Sunday (August 4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As many as 68,248 patients benefited during the camp. Surgeries advised to patients will be completed next month, said organiser Sunny Nimhan. The break-up of the patients who took various treatments is as follows: Ayush section \u2013 3,560, disabled patient assistive devices and prosthesis \u2013 700, general medicine \u2013 6,533, cardiovascular diseases \u2013 1,500, ailments of respiratory tract \u2013 6,205, geriatrics \u2013 6,020, dermatology \u2013 6,008, psychiatry \u2013 351, genetic disorders \u2013 200, brain disorders \u2013 1,251, ENT \u2013 8,205, ophthalmology \u2013 10,021, general surgery \u2013 6,006, obesity \u2013 350, plastic surgery \u2013 750, urology \u2013 1,100, oncology \u2013 550, osteopath \u2013 1,009, physiotherapy \u2013 752, paediatrics \u2013 2,022, obstetrics & gynaecology \u2013 2,150, dentistry \u2013 3,005. Patients queued up for the camp despite heavy rains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doctors from 16 specialty and eight super-specialty hospitals checked the patients. All-party politicians, health experts, current and former ministers, MPs and MLAs, social workers visited the camp and extended good wishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
