Pune: The recent Lok Sabha election results have favoured the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), marking a significant setback for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Maharashtra, just after Uttar Pradesh. The MVA is now gearing nitup to contest the upcoming assembly elections as a unified force, according to Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut.

Shiv Sena chief was in Delhi for two days, and he had a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge. Henceforth, we are going to campaign together Raut announced, emphasizing the renewed collaboration within the MVA.

During a press briefing, Raut launched a sharp critique of the Mahayuti alliance and commented on Ajit Pawar’s recent statement suggesting that he might not contest the Baramati constituency in the future. Ajit Pawar’s remark that he has contested elections seven or eight times and now feels disinterested in running from Baramati has sparked considerable speculation. Political circles are abuzz with rumors that Ajit Pawar’s son, Jai Pawar, may be fielded from Baramati instead.

Raut added his own perspective, asserting that Ajit Pawar is no longer inclined to contest from Baramati because “the people of Baramati have squeezed his juice” in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He predicted that Ajit Pawar might choose to contest from the Karjat-Jamkhed constituency against his nephew, implying that a family feud could be on the horizon.

In a notable statement, Raut claimed that those who left the party would not last unless defeated in the elections. He hinted at Sharad Pawar’s sentiments, suggesting that while Sharad Pawar may reconcile with most, Ajit Pawar is an exception. “Sharad Pawar can take everyone back, except Ajit Pawar,” Raut stated, reinforcing the idea of a deepening rift within the Pawar family.

The political dynamics within Maharashtra continue to evolve as the MVA prepares for the assembly elections, with potential family conflicts adding to the unfolding drama.
