Pune: A traditional \u2018Paithani Khel\u2019 became interesting for women residents of Kothrud amidst laughter, Ukhanas, music, songs and entertaining games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Mangalagaur function took them down the memory lane to their parental homes and they became emotional. The atmosphere was charged with positive vibrations. Many women won Paithani sarees and other prizes in a lucky draw held on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amol Balwadkar Foundation held \u2018Khel Rangala Paithanicha\u2019 and a get-together of women at Pandit Farm, Karve Nagar on Saturday (August 17).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mangalagaur and the lucky draw were held to entertain the women from Kothrud, which they enjoyed by participating in a large number. \u2018Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kaay Asta\u2019 TV serial-fame Madhavi Nimkar was the chief guest. RJ Akshay conducted the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 2,500 women took part in the function. Women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana and many women residents from Kothrud expressed happiness and satisfaction over the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prizes galore in the lucky draw<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many prizes were distributed in the Lucky Draw competition. The main winners and prizes were: Sulabha Gajanan Dhumal \u2013 washing machine, Apurva Nitin Tapkir \u2013 mixer, Pushpa Ashok Pawar \u2013 refrigerator, Sarika Taware – TV set and Shubhangi Pednekar \u2013 two-wheeler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The winners expressed joy and gratitude. All participants got an attractive gift each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
