Initiative of seven Manache Ganpati from Pune<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pune: The Ganpati Festival will be celebrated in Kashmir Valley for the second consecutive year. Moreover, Ganeshotsav will be celebrated at three places in Kashmir this year. Replicas of Ganesh idols of Manache Ganpati will be handed over to the three mandals on Saturday (August 31). The seven leading Ganesh mandals include first five Manache Ganpati, including Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshibaug Ganpati and Kesariwada. The two other prominent Ganpati mandals are Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati and Akhil Mandai Mandal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust Celebration Chief and Trustee Punit Balan revealed this on Thursday (August 29). The festival, which was started in Pune in the late 19th century, has now reached foreign shores. It is celebrated across the world. However, it was not observed in Kashmir Valley, an inseparable part of India, for the past 34 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considering this, Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan took the initiative. Seven prominent Ganesh mandals (Manache Ganpati) took a collective step in this direction and installed a Ganesh idol at the Ganpatyar Mandir in Srinagar\u2019s Lal Chowk for a one-and-a-half day last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, a five-day festival will be celebrated in Kupwara and Anantnag. For the first time, an idol of the first Manacha Ganapati,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kasba Ganpati, was installed at Lal Chowk. In the second year of celebrations, three replicas of three Manache Ganpati idols of Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim and Tulshibaug will be handed over to the three mandals in the Valley. A function will be held on Saturday to hand over the idols, said Punit Balan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
