Pune: State Minister and BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil has resolved to contest from the Indapur Assembly seat. He said, \u201cNobody from the Maha Yuti is confiding with me. If they feel that my presence is not needed in the alliance, they should tell me so.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patil said that he would soon decide his future course of action. He would also ask the Maha Yuti leadership whether the seat-sharing has already been decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patil is doubtful about his candidature from Indapur as the sitting MLA is from the NCP (AP). This led to discussions that Patil would contest the poll as an independent or cross over to the NCP (SP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this backdrop, Patil criticised DyCM Ajit Pawar while interacting with party workers. He said, \u201cI will tolerate everything else but not an insult. Come what may, I will contest the election.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said, \u201cWe all are constituents of the Maha Yuti. However, Ajit Pawar has indicated that the sitting MLA of the Maha Yuti will be fielded from Indapur. Therefore, I am going to ask the Maha Yuti leaders whether they have already decided on seat-sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have still not decided anything. But I will respect what people want me to do. I am not invited to government programmes. Ajit Pawar, during the Jan Sanman Yatra, announced that the current MLA will get the ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe BJP leadership should consider where we go wrong when the elections approach. If the Maha Yuti leaders do not like my presence, they should tell me so.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meeting planned with Fadnavis, Bawankule<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patil said, \u201cI never decided to leave the BJP but party leaders have made such statements. I do not know why they made such statements. Workers are insisting that I should either fight independently or from another party. I will talk to them and convey their feelings to the party leadership soon.
