Mumbai: The Maha Yuti has decided to conclude seat-sharing talks as early as possible. Meetings are being conducted. They delayed seat-sharing during the Lok Sabha elections and had to pay with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the seat-sharing formula of the Maha Yuti will be declared soon. Only those people will get candidatures who are able to win the elections, said senior leaders from the ruling alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to details received, the Shiv Sena (BT) may get 75-80 seats, the NCP (AP) could be allotted 60-65 and the BJP will have a lion\u2019s share with 130-135 seats. Around five seats will be left for small partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shinde-Fadnavis-Pawar have almost fixed the seat-sharing formula. Sitting MLAs will get their segments. Some seats may be exchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the last State Assembly elections, the BJP fought 164 seats, the Shiv Sena 124, out of which the former won 105 while the latter got 56. The NCP won 54 segments by contesting 121.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the Shiv Sena and the NCP were split later. Over 40 Shiv Sena MLAs joined the Maha Yuti under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. An equal number from the NCP joined the alliance later led by Ajit Pawar. Therefore, changes in seat-sharing may happen in the State polls 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the seat-sharing, Ajit Pawar said, \u201cI, along with CM Eknath Shinde and DyCM Devendra Fadnavis, am reviewing every segment. Seats will be distributed on the basis of the ability of a candidate to win. Seats will be allotted as per the strength of each party. We won 54 seats in the last election.
