Mumbai: The two major alliances in the State are trying to complete seat-sharing as the deadline for filing of nomination is approaching. Apparently, the Maha Yuti has decided the seat-sharing formula for Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reliable sources, the NCP (AP) has got three seats in Mumbai. They are Anushakti Nagar, Bandra (East) and Shivaji Mankhurd. The BJP has got 18 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sources said that the formula has been fixed for 36 seats in the city. The Shiv Sena (BT) will contest 15 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Total seats in Mumbai are 36: BJP \u2013 18, Shiv Sena (BT) \u2013 15 and NCP (AP) \u2013 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ruling alliance has been conducting meetings. It is said that, at some places, BJP candidates would contest on the NCP (AP) symbol. Former MP Sanjay Patil\u2019s son Prabhakar Patil will enter the fray in the Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal in Sangli district while BJP\u2019s Nishikant Patil will be fielded on the NCP (AP) symbol from the Walwa constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Filing of nominations to start from October 22<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The filing of nominations will start on October 22 while October 29 is the last date for submitting nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BJP is likely to announce its first list of candidates in a couple of days. It is learnt that the party is likely to rest around 25 sitting MLAs. The party has planned a strategy to stem the rebellion. Various leaders have been entrusted to carry out the responsibility to address rebellion. Many of them have advised the party to not announce the list hurriedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first list of the party was supposed to be out on Thursday (October 17). However, it has been held back following the warning by the leaders appointed in the constituencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
