An interesting incident has taken place in the Kalamb village of Indapur Taluka, where women threw the sarees given by MLA Dattatray Bharne on the streets. They refused to take sarees given by Bharne and said that they do not want sarees but development. At this time, they also questioned the local MLA Bharne on his development promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the last two weeks, sarees in a bag are being distributed in every village in Indapur taluka. On this bag, there is a photo of local MLA Dattatray Bharne. For this, a proper list of women voters in each house has been made, and accordingly, sarees are being distributed in Indapur Taluka through workers. These sarees were also delivered to Kalamb village near Walchand Nagar and the surrounding area. However, the women from Ghodke Wasti of Kalamb village refused to take these sarees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At that time, the women asked about the development to workers who were giving sarees to them. The women from Ghodke Wasti complained that there is no facility of electricity, water, or roads in Ghodke Wasti. From Ghodke Wasti to Pawar Wasti, it becomes difficult to travel on the poor quality road. The bicycles of the children who often go to school from this path get slipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The women further complained that in spite of complaining to the sarpanch multiple times to provide electricity to them, the sarpanch has turned a deaf ear to their demand. They also stressed the reality of increasing unemployment among youths. At this time, one older woman questioned why women above 65 years are not getting the benefit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladaki Bahin Yojana. She questioned, “Are these half-sisters of government?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
