A shocking incident has come to light where a landowner, in spite of entering into agreement with the builder for the development of land, stopped the work of the project and threatened people who went to inspect their flats. Further, the accused landowner forcibly took signatures of these people on 2 blank checks and 2 blank papers and threatened them to pay Rs 2 crore to take possession of flats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This incident took place on survey no. 4 of Kondhawe-Dhawade, share no. 5, between 2016 and September 1, 2024. In this regard, Vijay Dwarkaprasar Silewan (age 51, resident of Kondhawe-Dhawade) has filed a complaint at Uttam Nagar police station. Accordingly, police registered a case against Bapusaheb Dhawade, Vaishali Bapusaheb Dhawade, Anuradha Dhawade, Abhijit Dhawade, Bhalchandra Dhawade, Aruna Dhawade, Ajinkya Dhawade, Sanjay Dhawade, Madhavi Dhawade, Mayur Dhawade, Akash Dhawade, Srikant Dhawade, Sandhya Dhawade, Soham Dhawade, Sudhir Dhawade, Sarika Dhawade, Sachin Dhawade, and Vinayak Dhawade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police informed that the landowner, Bapusaheb Dhawade, had given his land to Mahesh Ramchandra Tikhe on behalf of Chintamani Construction for development by making a development agreement and a power of attorney letter. Accordingly, Tikhe sold the flats of the building on this land and used this money for the construction of the remaining building. However, despite the fact that Tikhe had already paid the amount of this land to the landowner, the landowner forcibly stopped the work on this project in 2016, resorting to intimidation tactics to demand more money from Tikhe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the plaintiff and other flat holders registered the society Shri Vishnu Narayan Complex Co-operative Society Limited. However, due to the continuous harassment of the landowner, Tikhe handed over the project to the society in an incomplete situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused surrounded them with weapons like sticks, knives, and sickles in their hands and kept them trapped. Further, the family of the accused threatened the plaintiff to kill and demanded 2 crore rupees for the possession of their flats. They seized the plaintiff and others by forcing them to sign 2 blank checks and 2 blank papers from the society’s bank account chequebook in the plaintiff’s bag. The plaintiff was only released after their demands were met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complaint further details that the Dhawade family, allegedly seeking further financial gain, has taken control of the project\u2019s ten buildings, both completed and incomplete, and is profiting from them through illegal occupation.
