Pune: Aspirants from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) from Hadapsar are insisting that the MVA candidate should be a local resident from Hadapsar. If an outsider is imposed on them, they would form a new front and field their own candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dilip Tupe and Dattoba Sasane formed the Hadapsar Vikas Aghadi in the civic elections 2002. It was successful. Similarly, efforts are on to form a new local front and contest the State Assembly election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aspirants from the NCP (SP), the Congress and the Shiv Sena (UBT) are working in that direction. A majority of former corporators have joined hands with them. They met NCP (SP) MP Dr Amol Kolhe on Sunday (October 27) and submitted a proposal to review the candidature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aspirants said that Dr Kolhe gave them a patient hearing and would convey their views to the party leadership. They were confident that their demand would be fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aspirants included Mahadev Babar, Yogesh Sasane, Anand Alkunte, Balasaheb Shivarkar, Nilesh Magar, Sameer Tupe and Bandu Gaikwad. They are determined to form the Hadapasar Vikas Aghadi if the candidate is not changed.
