Pune: NCP (SP) State President Jayant Patil on Monday (November 11) said, \u201cMany industrial projects in Maharashtra have been shifted to Gujarat to please the Modi-Shah duo. The Maha Yuti government led by Shinde-Fadnavis is working for Gujarat. Money is being splurged from the State coffers. Maharashtra was a leading State a few years ago. It is declining in all fields today. To stop this process, we will have to defeat those responsible for the State\u2019s decline.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patil was speaking in a poll rally organised for MVA candidate from the Hadapsar Assembly segment Prashant Jagtap at the ground near the Ajitdada Babar Vegetable Market in Katraj. Candidate Prashant Jagtap, NCP (SP) District Unit President Jagannath Shewale, former MLA Adv Jaidev Gaikwad, former Mayor Ankush Kakade, Bhagwanrao Vairat, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vasant More, Yogesh Sasane, Kalpana Thorve, Sambhaji Thorve, Nilesh Magar, Praveen Tupe, Sachin Kharat, Vijayrao Deshmukh, Shailendra Billekar, Dr Sunil Jagtap, office-bearers and workers of all constituent parties in the MVA were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jayant Patil said, \u201cThe highest amount of tax in the country collected from Maharashtra goes to the Centre. But one should think what the State gets in return. The common people are fed up with rising inflation. Youths are jobless. Women are not safe as crime against them is growing. Farmers are dying by suicide as they are not getting remunerative prices for their crops. Communal and caste divide is evident over issues such as reservations. In this scenario, the government led by Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar is worried only about themselves. To expel such a selfish and corrupt government from the State, you need to vote for the MVA candidate on November 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cParties were split by threatening leaders with action by Central agencies. Chhagan Bhujbal has explained this. Some people criticise that we are not capable of governing the State. I was also the State Finance Minister for many years. Maharashtra was ahead of Gujarat then. Now, the process has been reversed. The State is in decline. Efforts are being made to insult Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his importance is being lessened. Maha Yuti leaders are spreading hatred among various religions in the name of Hindutva. They are humiliating women. A leader from Kolhapur threatens women for participating in the MVA campaign. Is this the Ladki Bahin Yojana?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prashant Jagtap said, \u201cThis is an opportunity to ask the sitting MLA what he has done for the constituency. It is time that the MLAs who stabbed Pawar Saheb in the back should be defeated. You have an opportunity to decide between an MLA who misappropriates money granted for development and the one who honestly implements development projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
