BJP candidate Rajan Naik has also been booked under the People\u2019s Representation Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tawde has clarified his position. He said, \u201cIt is a conspiracy against me. The ECI should launch an impartial probe into this. I went there to meet party workers. I have done nothing wrong. It is a ploy by MVA workers. The police and the ECI should investigate this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MVA workers levelled a serious allegation against Tawde that he came to a hotel in Virar with Rs 5 crore to distribute. Reacting to the allegation, Tawde said, \u201cIt is a ploy to defame me and my party. CCTV footage should be checked. Thakur knows me well. I have been working for the party for the past 40 years. I took a halt in Nallasopara for a workers\u2019 meeting as I was returning from Wada. I came here to explain to them the rules on the day of polling. Our opponent thought that I came here to distribute money.
