Pune: The culprit in the Swargate bus stand rape case was arrested at midnight on Thursday. As people are expressing anger over the incident, state ministers are making outrageous and insensitive statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam said that the woman should have raised an alarm. Since she did not, it did not happen forcefully. BJP Minister Sanjay Savkare said that such incidents do happen across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, DyCM Ajit Pawar has suggested to leaders and ministers from the ruling alliance to not make such statements. Pawar said, \u201cOne should weigh one\u2019s words before uttering them. They should not indicate that one is protecting the culprit. All should take precaution while reacting to any such incident.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Yogesh Kadam made a controversial statement. He said, \u201cThe incident happened peacefully. It did not happen forcefully. There was no commotion at the crime spot. Several people were present but not even an argument between the accused and the victim could be heard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, Minister of Textile and Bhandara District Guardian Minister Sanjay Savkare said, \u201cOne cannot claim that women are insecure just because an incident occurred. Such incidents take place across the country. Action is taken continuously. Whether they are men or women, they should feel secure. Only women should get security and men should not get it is wrong. The government tries to provide security to all. Crime takes place due to criminals.
