Pune: A case has been registered against brothers Shashank Hagwane and Sushil Hagwane for allegedly obtaining an arms license using fake residential documents. Though they were residing in Bhukum, they falsely claimed to be residents of Karvenagar and Mokatnagar in Kothrud through two different sets of forged documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused have been identified as Shashank Rajendra Hagwane and Sushil Rajendra Hagwane (both aged 28), residents of Tarangan Farms, near Muktai Lawns, Bhukum, Tal. Mulshi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2022, using these false documents, both individuals managed to secure arms licenses. At that time, the then Police Commissioner was Amitabh Gupta, and the Additional Commissioner (Administration) was Jalindar Supekar\u2014who is notably related to the accused as their maternal uncle-in-law. The application verification responsibility was under his administrative scope. Interestingly, the Hagwane brothers were residing under the jurisdiction of Pune Rural Police, who had already rejected their license applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the investigation, separate FIRs have now been filed at Warje Malwadi and Kothrud Police Stations. Shashank Hagwane falsely claimed to have been living in Flat No. 203, Building No. 4, Sargam Colony, Karvenagar for the past 10 years. Similarly, Sushil Hagwane claimed residence in Mokatnagar, Paud Road, Kothrud for the same duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
