Pune: A shocking murder case has surfaced involving two cousins from Jharkhand who had come to Pune for work. Suspicion of the victim\u2019s alleged relationship with a woman in their village led the accused cousin to attack him with a knife on the neck, killing him on the spot. The accused later stuffed the body into a sack and dumped it on the Gujarwadi hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Pandit (23, resident of Khopdenagar, Katraj). Bharati Vidyapeeth Police have arrested his cousin Ashok Pandit (35, resident of Moshi). The incident took place on November 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ajay, originally from Jharkhand, had been living in Pune for the past four years and working while staying in a labour camp at Khopdenagar. When he went missing, a complaint was lodged at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. Police suspected foul play. Through technical investigation and CCTV footage, they identified his cousin Ashok as the prime suspect. He was detained from Pimpri, and during interrogation he confessed to the murder and showed the location where he had dumped the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. Under the guidance of DCP Milind Mohite and ACP Rahul Aware, Senior PI Rahul Khilare and PSI Nilesh Mokashi successfully cracked the murder case while investigating the missing complaint.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
