In a case involving the alleged extortion of traders in Ganesh Peth\u2019s fish market under the guise of \u2018protection money,\u2019 notorious Andekar gang leader Bandu Andekar and his nephew Shivam Andekar have been remanded to judicial custody. As per the Pune MCOCA court\u2019s orders, both have been shifted to Dhule prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A case has been registered at Faraskhana Police Station against a total of 11 accused, including Bandu alias Suryakant Ranoj Andekar, his son Krishna Andekar, and nephew Shivam Andekar. The gang is accused of extorting over \u20b920 crore from traders. Police investigations revealed deposits of \u20b921.60 crore in the accused persons\u2019 bank accounts.
