Pune: The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, associated with what it describes as Hindustan\u2019s first public Ganpati, has organised a series of free health camps for citizens during Ganeshotsav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative will include eye check-ups, physiotherapy assessments, dental examinations and health consultations, while 11,000 spectacles will be distributed free of cost to people in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several reputed hospitals and institutions are participating in the initiative. Apollo Hospital will conduct health check-ups from September 16 to 18, while Agarwal Eye Hospital will organise eye examinations from September 17 to 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sancheti Hospital will conduct physiotherapy assessments on September 21. On September 21 and 22, dental examinations and guidance will be provided in association with the Indian Prosthodontic Society and Dr Vijay Mabrukar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A physiotherapy camp will also be organised by Modern College on September 22, followed by another physiotherapy initiative on September 23 in association with Dhole Patil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the camps will be held at the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust mandap. Trust festival chief and trustee Punit Balan has appealed to citizens, particularly those in need, to take advantage of the free healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative has been undertaken with the aim of combining the religious celebrations of Ganeshotsav with social responsibility and public healthcare. Citizens will be able to undergo basic health assessments, identify potential health issues and receive expert guidance for further treatment where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGaneshotsav should not remain only a religious festival; it should also become a celebration of initiatives that benefit society. With this objective, we have organised health camps this year in association with several reputed hospitals and institutions. Citizens will receive free health check-ups, expert guidance and advice regarding necessary treatment. In particular, 11,000 spectacles will be distributed free of cost to people in need. With Bappa\u2019s blessings, this health initiative is being conducted, and the Trust will continue such service-oriented activities in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
