Pimpri: Two held for cheating by promising maximum returns on investment in share market

Pimpri: Two persons have been arrested by the Cyber Cell of the Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch for cheating by promising maximum returns on investment in the share market.
It was found that the two accused were involved in the offence registered at the Karjat Police Station. They have been handed over to the Karjat Police.
The accused have been identified as Satish Suresh Bundele and Paresh Gulab Biradwade, both residents of Chinchwad.
Policeman Suraj Shinde got a tip-off that a person was taking people to a bank to open their accounts. On inquiry, it was found that he opened an account in City Union Bank and his name was Satish Bundele. Later, he was detained.
After interrogation, he told the police that his friend Paresh Biradwade had told him to open the account. Then Biradwade was detained. Both admitted that they promised a person from Karjat to invest in the share market for huge profits. Then they cheated him of Rs 11.75 lakh. A case has been registered against them under sections 419, 420 of the IPC, along with provisions of the IT Act, at the Karjat Police Station.
A parallel investigation was underway by the Cyber Cell team comprising API Pravin Swami, policemen Suraj Shinde and Atul Lokhande. On technical analysis, they found that the accused opened accounts in various banks to cheat people. As many as 40 complaints have been received from across the country against the accounts they opened.
The action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police (CP) Vinay Kumar Choubey, Addl CP Vasant Pardeshi, DCP Sandeep Doiphode and ACP Vishal Hire. The team comprising API Pravin Swami, PSI Sagar Poman, PSI Ravindra Panhale, police personnel Deepak Bhosale, Atul Lokhande, Nitesh Bichewar and Suraj Shinde participated in the action.
