Pune: Ravet Police act against Knock Knock Cafe for obscene activities

Pune / Pimpri: The Pimpri Chicnwad Police Crime Branch raided and acted against a café, Love Birds, in Ravet recently for allowing girls and boys to indulge in obscene activities. Now, a similar action has been taken by the Ravet Police against Knock Knock Café, which was being run under the guise of a coffee shop.

Space was provided to young boys and girls to indulge in obscene activities at the cafe.

Police constable Pournima Ganesh Chavan (30) lodged a complaint at the Ravet police station in this regard. Accordingly, a case has been registered against café owner Kunal Pandurang Rale (21), a resident of Bhosari, under the Maharashtra Police Act. The operation was conducted at around 9.15 pm on Wednesday (July 10) at Dhruvasiddhi Building in Ravet.

According to the police, they got a tip-off that Knock Knock Cafe is located in shop no. 15 at Dhruvasiddhi Building, where private space was provided to young boys and girls to sit alone and indulge in obscene activities. The police team raided Knock Knock Cafe. The accused put up a coffee shop board without holding any licence. He served food at the public place and provided space for youths to indulge in intimate activities.

As many as seven partitions measuring 3X3 ft and with a height of 5 ft were found. They were covered with curtains on the outside and a sofa was kept inside each cubicle. It was observed that collegian boys and girls were engaged in obscene behavior inside. The police registered a case against the cafe owner and are investigating further.
