Ajit Gavhane Join NCP Sharad Pawar

Pune: For the past few days, various news channels have been anticipating the rift within the Nationalist Congress Party in Pimpri Chinchwad city. Finally, more than 25 former corporators, including the city president of the NCP, Ajit Gavhane, joined the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) group. Today, all the members joined the NCP-SP party at 11.30 a.m. in Moti Bagh (Sharad Pawar’s residence), Pune.

At this time, while speaking with the media, Ajit Gavhane said, “BJP came to power in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation after the 2017 municipal elections. Before that, Congress and the NCP were in power. After the BJP came to power, it was seen that the municipal corporation and the city went into decline in terms of development. The Bhosari assembly started to be largely ignored. Such a situation arose because Ajitdada did not have single-handed power in the city.”
“Similarly, the matter of our Bhosari Legislative Assembly was largely ignored after the BJP came to power in the city. Now it is necessary to develop the city with the planning of the next 50 years in mind. But instead of that, only money was spent in the constituency. But we did not see the development. For the past few years, I have been trying for the Legislative Assembly elections. This time, I am willing to contest the Assembly elections,” he added.

Sharad Pawar, the president of the NCP-SP party, welcomed and guided all the newly joined members at this time. He said, “Everyone who is willing to work with progressive ideas is welcome.” Sharad Pawar advised party workers to struggle to keep the thoughts and ideologies of their party alive in state politics for the betterment of society.
