Pune: Puja’s father is a millionaire but she got non-creamy layer certificate
Pune: The Income Tax (I-T) Department will interrogate Dilip Khedkar, controversial probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar’s father. She submitted the non-creamy layer certificate to the UPSC for the civic services exam.
After it was revealed that her father’s income amounts to crores of rupees, a question was raised then how she was given the said certificate. Puja Khedkar got admission to the Kashibai Navale Medical College in NT3 category. She also submitted the non-creamy layer certificate to the college. Dilip Khedkar was then an officer in the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). A doubt has been raised how his income could have been less than Rs 4 lakh at that time.
Later, Puja got the IAS rank in 2023 by submitting the OBC and disability certificates. She also attached the non-creamy layer certificate with her documents. Within one year, Dilip Khedkar contested the Lok Sabha election, during which he filed an affidavit about his Rs 40-crore assets.
Therefore, it is being questioned how she could get the non-creamy layer certificate. Now, the I-T Department will examine I-T returns filed by Dilip Khedkar and interrogate him.
