Pune: IESA Drives Pune’s Semiconductor Ecosystem: A Collaborative Triumph
IESA Executive Council energizes region with participation 3 Mega Events
Pune: The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the premier industry body representing the Electronics & Semiconductor stakeholders in India, takes the center stage in Shaping Pune’s “Semiconductor Ecosystem ” through Thought Leadership and Event contributions, emphasizing IESA’s proactive role in fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth within the region. Three key events on 15th July in Pune with IESA contributions included “Semiconductor Ecosystem Conference 2024 -organized by MCCIA and supported by STPI and IESA, ”, “Brainstorming Discussions on National Policy on IT 2024” and IESA-Pune Chapter Industry Meeting.
The events were graced by the presence of Mr. S Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and Mr. Arvind Kumar, Director General of the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Mr. Pradip Chendran, Addnl Development Commissioner ( Industries ) , Maharashtra state and MCCIA Office bearers. Their Inspiring and motivational speeches included the importance of the ESDM sector , applauding the contributions of IESA and willingness to take feedback on shaping policies that will further enhance the IT and semiconductor sectors in Maharashtra and in India. The events provided a robust platform for industry leaders to discuss advancements, opportunities, and the future trajectory of the ESDM sector.
Dr. V Veerappan, Chairman IESA, emphasized the importance of such events in driving the sector forward. “IESA is committed to fostering a collaborative environment that supports the growth and development of the ESDM ecosystem in India. The insights shared and the connections made here will undoubtedly propel our efforts to establish a robust ESDM framework in the country.”
Ashok Chandak, President IESA, added, “ with 19 % MSME’s of India from Maharashtra and large pool of engineering institutes, Pune can play significant role in India’s ESDM agenda thru Skilled workforce and value addition to manufacturing sector. It is crucial to have the voices of industry leaders heard in these areas and action plan defined towards growth and innovation.”
IESA executive council members Dr. Veerappan, Mr. Ashok Chandak, Sanjeev Keskar, Hitesh Garg and Navin Bishnoi highlighted the insightful aspects of the semiconductor ecosystem to audience, including fabless ecosystem, semiconductor manufacturing, and skilling and Talent development.
The IESA Chapter meeting was attended by 70+ IESA members, who deliberated on strategies to further enhance the ESDM ecosystem in Maharashtra and across India. It was decided to enable Maharashtra’s ESDM MSME sector towards creating local value addition, leveraging strength of Pune’s engineering institutes in Skilling and shaping state policies for creating an ecosystem conducive to technological advancement.
