Following the ceremony, the Trust formally unveiled the concept for this year’s Ganeshotsav decoration.

‘Shri Ganesh Suvarnadham’ to Highlight Respect for Parents

This year, the Trust will create an elaborate and visually striking theme titled ‘Shri Ganesh Suvarnadham’.

The concept is centred around Lord Ganesha, the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, and draws inspiration from the timeless Indian values of “Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava” — reverence for one’s mother and father.

Through the theme, the Trust aims to highlight gratitude towards parents, their importance in an individual’s life, and the deep-rooted Indian tradition of honouring and respecting one’s mother and father.

Known for presenting imaginative and meaningful themes every year, the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust is once again preparing to offer devotees a distinctive display carrying a strong cultural and social message.

A series of religious and cultural programmes will also be organised around the temple premises as part of the 135th Ganeshotsav celebrations.

A large number of dignitaries, Trust office-bearers, volunteers and devotees attended the Vasa Pujan and theme unveiling ceremony. The atmosphere turned festive with the beats of dhol-tasha and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

“The Vasa Pujan and unveiling of the decoration of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, known as the Ganpati of revolutionaries, has fittingly taken place on August Kranti Day. This year, we will create the imaginative theme ‘Shri Ganesh Suvarnadham’. The festival will be celebrated while preserving its religious character, sanctity and traditions. Like last year, we will also celebrate Ganeshotsav and Dahi Handi without DJs this year.”

“I am extremely happy and honoured to have been given the opportunity to perform the Vasa Pujan for the 135th Ganeshotsav mandap of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati. I had witnessed the Trust’s celebrations last year as well. After seeing the enthusiasm of the volunteers and the discipline maintained during the immersion procession, I understood what makes Pune’s Ganeshotsav truly unique. I sincerely thank the Trust for giving me this honour.”
