Pune: Crime Branch Police Nab Two Serial Robbers from Wagholi, Recover Stolen Goods Worth Rs. 65 Thousand
Pune: In a significant action, the team of Crime Branch Unit Six arrested two serial criminals who robbed the Ganesh Jewellers shop in Wagholi. This action was taken by the police near the Bhairavanath Temple on Wagholi-Bhavdi Road. In the subsequent police action, police seized items worth Rs. 65 thousand from them along with the stolen vehicle. Furthermore, police also brought five crimes from Yerawada and Dehu road police station limits into the spotlight.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Hansraj alias Hansu Ranjit Singh Tak (age 20, a resident of Hadapsar, Pune), and Sunny Singh Jitendra Singh Juni (age 22, a resident of Ramtekdi, Pune).
According to the police, the team of Crime Branch Unit Six received information that the suspects were standing with a stolen vehicle in an open space near Bhairavanath Temple on Wagholi-Bhavdi Road. Accordingly, police arrested the accused individuals and detained them. When they were interrogated, the thieves confessed that they broke into the shop of Ganesh Jewellers in Wagholi and looted jewellery.
Police records revealed that one of the accused, Hansraj Tak, is a notorious criminal and has a total of 25 serious cases of robbery and burglary against him.
In the police action, police seized two bikes, materials, and weapons required for theft worth Rs 65,000 from them. This action was taken by the Police Inspector of Crime Branch, Unit Six, Ulhas Kadam, Vitthal Khedkar, Ramesh Memane, Kanifnath Karkhele, Nitin Mundhe, Rishikesh Takwane, Rishikesh Vyavahare, Sachin Pawar, Shekhar Kate, Nitin Dhadge, Sameer Pilane, Balasaheb Tanpure, Kirti Mandle, Pratiksha Pansare, Suhas Tambekar, and other police officers.
