Pune: Ujani Dam filled to 50 pc of capacity
Pune: The water storage in Ujani Dam, which is a boon for Pune, Solapur and Ahmednagar district, has risen to 50 pc following heavy rainfall in catchment areas.
As per the figures available at noon on Wednesday (July 31), the dam has 52.58 pc storage, which is 81.83 TMC. Only 19 TMC is needed to fill it to its capacity.
The Ujani Dam storage started filling for the first time this season on July 26. Within five days, 27.59 TMC was added. Currently, a discharge of 20,874 cusecs is being made into the dam from Daund.
