Pune: Retired Vice Principal of Manjri School Faces Two Years of Imprisonment in a Seven-Year-Old Molestation Case

Pune: The Lashkar Court of Pune has sentenced the vice principal of a school to two years imprisonment and a fine of fifteen thousand rupees. This punishment was awarded to the vice principal of the school who allegedly attempted to molest a teacher by calling her to his cabin in 2017.

Associate First Class Magistrate S.H. Atkare gave this verdict. The name of the convicted vice principal is Suresh Pandurang Sawant, who is currently residing in Hadapsar.

This incident dates back to 2017, when a female teacher from a school in Manjri lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station. As per her complaint, the accused vice principal, Suresh Sawant, called her to the cabin under the pretext of help and behaved obscenely with her. He allegedly attempted to misbehave with her with the intention of disrespecting her chastity.

In this case, Assistant Public Prosecutor Anjala Navgire presented the plaintiff’s case.
