Pune: Plan to start Vande Bharat trains from Pune to Mumbai, Delhi and other cities: Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol
Issues faced by Pune Division will be solved soon, Mohol meets Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Pune: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol met Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and discussed in detail various pending issues of the Pune Division of Railways.
Besides clearing long-pending issues, they had a positive discussion on starting Vande Bharat trains from Pune to various cities, including New Delhi and Mumbai. Vaishnaw personally explained the plan on a map to Mohol.
Many issues related to Pune and western Maharashtra are pending with the Railways Ministry. Union Minister Mohol took the initiative to find solutions to them as early as possible. Mohol said that the Railway Minister was positive about clearing the issues. Thus, they would be solved soon.
Mohol said, “We had a detailed discussion on Pune-Delhi Vande Bharat sleeper train, Pune-Lonavala railway route expansion, Pune-Ahilyanagar connectivity, renovation of Pune Railway Station and a new terminal at Uruli Kanchan. Minister Vaishnaw not only provided details about these plans but also discussed a plan of action for the near future.”
He said, “The Union Railway Minister announced the Vande Bharat Metro service connecting important metropolitan cities, which will be started soon. In this context, we discussed the possibility to start Vande Bharat Metro connecting Pune with Nashik, Mumbai, Solapur and Nagpur too.”
