Pedestrian dies after rickshaw collision in Pune due to heavy Rain
Pune: In Pune’s Market Yard area, a pedestrian died when an auto-rickshaw struck him during heavy rainfall, severely limiting visibility. Case has been registered againt the auto rickshaw driver.
The incident occurred on July 28 around 7:30 pm. Police constable Shankar Pawar registered the case in this connection at Market Yard police station. According to the information provided by the constable the pedestrian was passing on the Market Yard road gate number 9. Despite the rickshaw driver promptly taking the injured pedestrian to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving treatment. The pedestrian remains unidentified, and police suspect he might have been homeless.
A case has been filed against the rickshaw driver, and Assistant Police Inspector Archana Patil is investigating the matter.
